About me
Food
For as long as i can remember food has always been a huge part of my life. From being little, in my aunties kitchen begging her to ‘let me help’, even though i could barely see over the counter, she would eventually give in, or in my opinion fed up of the annoyance of my squeaky little voice, and let me whisk an egg or two. I would smell the aromatic minted lamb and roasties in the oven and be in absolute bliss as i waited in front of the oven until the last minute, waiting for everything to be done. Growing up in a Caribbean household, Flavour and spice have always been at the heart of my family’s cooking. My mothers Parents are from a small island called Grenada ‘the isle of SPICE’ so cooking with just salt and pepper has never been an option for me. Fragrant meats, fishes and luscious veggies have been all that I’ve grown up on and i wouldn’t be the person i am today without having a good ol’ curry goat and rice dish AT LEAST once a fort night, believe me I’ve experience it all. For as long as i can remember…
